(Oslo, 8 July 2005) EDB has won a contract as sub-contractor to Capgemini to supply helpdesk and PC support services as well as systems operations for the Swedish logistics company Green Cargo. The contract runs for 5 years, with an option for the customer to terminate the contract after 3 years. The first 3 years of the agreement represent total business volume for EDB of NOK 88 million.
This contract is the result of an open tendering process carried out by Green Cargo to select a total supplier of IT solutions. On the basis of their established collaboration and experience, EDB and Capgemini put forward a solution with Capgemini as the total supplier supported by EDB as its subcontractor.
Green Cargo has previously bought IT services from EDB and Capgemini, but these arrangements were based on separate contracts for IT services with EDB and for systems management and development with Capgemini.
